Lime is basically calcium with added nutrients, and calcium not only helps raise pH, it is also a vital plant nutrient. Our product is derived from a food-grade source of Calcium that is often used in nutritional supplements. It is sugar-chelated, meaning it is binded with sugars into a form that makes it immediately available for absorption. (We do not use EDTA for chelation in any of our products.) We have also added 6% Nitrogen to speed up absorption and provide extra plant nutrition.
Your Liquid Lime formula can be applied with a hose-end sprayer to lawns and gardens, or sprayed directly on calcium deficient plants for foliar absorption (through the leaves). This is the fastest and most efficient way to improve calcium levels on vegetable and flower gardens, ornamental plants, lawns, trees and farm crops.

Yes. You can leave this on the lawn and get some foliar leaf absorption until you have time to water it in or you get a heavy rain, but do not bag your clippings if it hasn’t been watered in. This is a soil improvement product, so it won’t do much for the soil until it gets watered down into the root zone; generally that means a good soaking or heavy rain. If you’re using this product as a foliar spray for plants, you do not need to water it in.
Yes. All products can be applied the same day, except for Yard Guard which is best applied alone and allowed to sit a day or two. Yard Guard can be applied on the same day as your Liquid Lime/Calcium, but only after the Lime/Calcium has been watered in.
For Liquid Lime/Calcium, never mix the product in the same sprayer as other products. If you are applying this product the same day as other products, always apply the Lime/Calcium last.
Yes, you can apply Liquid Lime/Calcium before or right after seeding, but before grass sprouts. Delay any further applications until new grass has been mowed.
Yes! Make sure not to use weed and feed or have your lawn treated by services if the lawn is under heat/drought stress, but at all other times this product is compatible with other lawn care programs.
This is a stabilized product that should be good for at least five or more years when stored properly (between 50°F and 80°F with the cap on tight). There might be some settling out or sediment after a long time in storage, but agitating the bottle slightly is all it takes to mix it up again.
