YARD GUARD (Cedar)

Ideal for use on your lawn, shrubs, trees, flowers and vegetable gardens (except lettuce and softer leaf plants). Can be used as a deck spray, foundation spray and for use in stables, kennels and barns.

Repels Ants, Mosquito's, Flies, Moths, Aphids, Scale, Army Worms, Mole Crickets, Fleas, Ticks, Chiggers, Grasshoppers, White Fly, Mediterranean Fruit Fly, Mites, Citrus Rust Mite, nematodes, bark beetles, darkling beetles, Japanese Beetle, June Bugs, Box elder Bugs, Stink Bugs, Bag Worms, Eastern Tent Caterpillar, Slugs, Snails, and numerous other flying, crawling and subterranean pests including termites of all species. When applied properly it will destroy both egg and larvae in soil and in standing water.

HOW TO USE ON LAWNS

The first application is the most important and should be heavy enough to destroy existing insects and their eggs. Follow up applications repel further insects and thereby breaks the egg-laying cycle.

NOTE: Apply in the am or early evening, away from the mid-day sun. Wear gloves to avoid drying out of your hands.

For existing Fleas, Armyworms, Chinch Bugs, Mole Crickets and all insects that come to the soil surface daily:

Use 1 qt Yard Guard for up to 2500 sf. (For Ticks, spray at 1 qt per 1000 sf) Use our Ready-To-Use sprayer or any adjustable hose-end sprayer set at 3 oz per gallon of water. Water the lawn well after 24 hours. Spray again in 7-10 days if any insects hatch from eggs and are present on the lawn.

To prevent re-infestation and create a long-lasting Cedar Aroma barrier to all lawn insects, spread Cedar Granules over the lawn after you make your initial liquid application. Spread Granules every 45-60 days. Our 10 gallon bag will cover 3500 sf twice.

For existing Grubs and Root-Feeding insects or Larvae

Apply Yard Guard at 1 qt per 1000-1500 sf. Water in well right away, or do before a heavy rain. Spread Cedar Granules every 45-60 days to prevent re-infestation.

Mosquito / Fly Repellent: Spray all lawns, beds, trees, shrubs, decks, patios at a light rate to keep bugs away for 24-48 hours.

Set adjustable hose-end sprayer to 1 oz per gallon of water for lighter applications and up to 3 oz per gallon for heavier treatments.

FOLIAR TREATMENTS: Spray garden plants/house plants using a fine mist pump sprayer. For existing insects, mix 24 oz YARD GUARD per gallon, or 6 oz per quart of water. Spray only to point of run-off. For preventative applications spray at half rate.

For Commercial Farm and Vineyard use. Product can be purchased in a more concentrated for and can be mixed with water at up to 4000:1 . Contact the office for more information.

DISEASE CONTROL: YARD GUARD also has fungicidal properties and will effectively control Powdery Mildew and other related fungal organisms such as Brown Patch, Take All Patch, Dollar Spot and other Turf Yellowing disease. Apply full rate every 7 days until plants or lawn recovers

SNAKES. YARD GUARD is effective in control of heat seeking and pheromone driven venomous snakes including but not limited to Coral, Rattler, Water Moccasin, Copper Head and others. YARD GUARD is registered as a Bio-Based Product. It is EPA EXEMPT from federal registration (25b product) 85% cedar oil 15% ethyl lactate. It poses no harm to the environment, pets, farm animals, water ways, soil, farms, crops, expecting mothers and their unborn child or infants and children. This chemical free solution will not stain.
