After you've chosen your basic fertilizing plan, there is still a lot more that you can do to help improve your lawn's health. The healthier the lawn, the less problems and less need for pesticides.
LAB SOIL TESTING
A 14 point analysis to determine deficiencies, excesses, nutrient holding capability and pH. By finding any hidden soil problems and correcting them, your lawn will have better color and less weeds, disease and insects. The lawn will be healthier. A healthy lawn means less need for pesticides.
NATURAL AERATION
Highly recommended for loosening clay or compacted soils. Improves rooting and bioactivates soils. Helps improve movement of water, air and nutrients through the soil. Better than core aeration and safe to use around sprinklers and underground wires. Penetrates deeply and is also very beneficial to trees and shrubs.

ORGANIC SOIL BUILDER
Helps build valuable Humus by increasing organic content and nutrient levels in your base soil. Improves color and bioactivity. Great for clay or sandy soils. Often recommended after Lab Soil Test results come in.
LIQUID COMPOST SOIL DRENCH
Helps digest Thatch and also fights fungus. Designed to enhance soil biology and encourage the development of beneficial microbes. Also improves soil structure.
GYPSUM
Many lawn services sell you Lime when you have a Moss problem. We have found that most WNY lawns do not need Lime (except for sections of the Southtowns). Soil tests show the soils are too Alkaline (sweet) already. Gypsum helps with Moss by adding Calcium safely and effectively. Gypsum also is great for detoxifying soils, and opening up clay. Helps Sandy soils hold onto nutrients that may normally leach out.
SALT CONTROL (Dog aid)
Snow salt ruins soil. You get thin turf, weeds, and dead spots. Curbside trees are weakened and sometimes die from salt damage. Our Salt Control application neutralizes much of the salt. It also helps buffer and prevent urine spots from dogs, up to a point. We can apply this on part of the lawn, wherever it is needed most.
GRUB CONTROL
We offer all the conventional methods of Grub control and prevention. We also offer a Biological Grub Control (it also works on flea eggs) that is harmless to people and pets. It can also be applied by you if you're a do-it-yourselfer and wish to cut the cost in half.
