Bio-Enhanced Liquid Fertilizers

All of our liquid fertilizers are supplemented with a natural nutrient package derived from Seaweed, Humic Acids, and Molasses. What this means to you is that you are getting a soil improving fertilizer with added vitamins, bio-stimulants, and trace elements. Each product contains vitamins B-1, B-12, gibberellins, indoles, auxins as well as trace elements of boron, iron, zinc, cobalt, copper, manganese, molybdenum and sulfur.

The nutrients in our liquid fertilizers are chelated, meaning they are instantly available to the plant. Our NPK sources are salt and chlorine free, which means safe for the plant and soil. In fact, all our raw materials used in our liquid fertilizers are classed as food grade materials.

Our liquid fertilizers can be applied through any type of garden sprayer or fertigation equipment. For smaller areas you can use a watering can if that is more convenient. All of our fertilizers are compatible with our AERIFY - Liquid Soil Aerator and Clay Loosener. You can also use our fertilizers to foliar feed your plants. For foliar feeding, use the lighter application rate listed on the label directions. Use a fine mist sprayer for foliar feeding. Mornings and early evenings are the best times for foliar spraying.

Save on shipping and pricing by ordering larger size bottles. Commercial users should contact our office for prices on barrels, totes or larger size containers.

Foliar Feeding Information and Tips

Foliar (through the leaves) feeding is a great way to get more from your lawns and plantings - even those that have already been fertilized through the ground. Nutrients (including the micronutrients and humates we add to all our fertilizers) sprayed correctly on leaves are absorbed quickly and are distributed throughout the whole plant or tree within minutes. This means that you only have to spray some of the leaves to get nutrients to all of the plant, including the roots. This can boost plant health and production dramatically. So, whether you want greener grass, more flowers, more fruits or vegetables, or just more growth from a plant, foliar feeding every two weeks is a great technique for serious gardeners.

  • Spray early to late morning for better absorption. Early evening is the next best time.

  • Only spray plants that have been watered regularly and are not under drought stress.

  • Avoid spraying during the heat of the day or the spray can evaporate before it is absorbed.

  • Add some soap to help the spray spread and stick better. A fine mist spray sticks best, but hose-end sprayers can be effective if done a little more heavily and during the right time of day.

  • Try to reach the underside of leaves because that is where most of the pores (stomata) are.

BIO-ENHANCED
16-4-8
FOR LAWNS

This is our best selling liquid lawn fertilizer. It gets the grass green and growing. Nutrients are immediately available and you can expect a very quick color response. The 16-4-8 is supplemented with a natural nutrient package derived from Seaweed, Humic Acids, and Molasses. What this means to you is that you are getting a soil improving fertilizer with added vitamins, bio-stimulants, and trace elements.

Apply to turf at 5-6 oz per 1000 sf. every 2 weeks or (on healthier turf) 10-12 oz every 4 weeks. If you have clay or compacted soil, you can mix in some Aerify with each fertilizing until the soil is improved.

By the way, the 16-4-8 also makes a great lawn winterizer. And according to Cornell, the winterizer is the 3rd most important fertilizing for lawns.

The 16-4-8 is considered a high nitrogen fertilizer which means it works well for most non-blooming green or leafy plants - including vegetables, house plants, shrubs and even trees. It promotes green growth, as opposed to promoting flowers or fruits.

For foliar or hose-end feeding of plants apply regularly at 1-2 oz per gallon of water or 1 tablespoon per quart of water. For Row Crops apply at 2 quarts per acre. For Tree Crops apply at 1 gallon per acre. (See Foliar Feeding Information and Tips above)

BIO-ENHANCED
10-8-8
ALL-PURPOSE PLANT FOOD

I used the 10-8-8 and the 6-14-6 liquid fertilizers on these Beefsteak tomatoes. I had my best harvest ever and they were delicious.

This is a balanced All-Purpose Fertilizer that builds a healthy plant, top to bottom. Almost every type of plant will thrive on the 10-8-8. We use this for most of our shrub and tree fertilizing work and for all of our Deep-Root Fertilizing. It provides enough nitrogen for steady growth, but it contains more phosphorus and potassium than the 16-4-8, which means better rooting and resistance to fungus and weather stress. Apply monthly during the growing season to your gardens and beds, or use it on the lawn when you want more fertility and less growth.

Fertilizer Rates

Shrubs, Trees, Flowers, Perennials, Bushes: Apply monthly at 2 oz per gallon of water for an average size shrub, drenching the soil around all plants using a watering can, hose-end sprayer or using using a watering can, pump sprayer or hose-end sprayer. If fertilizing beds of plants close together, apply at 8-12 oz per 1000 sf monthly. Morning applications are best, and always add a little Aerify! or Aerify PLUS to the mix to help improve the soil as you fertilize.

Foliar Spray Applications can be made every 10 days. For houseplants, apply at 1 tablespoon per quart of water. For gardens or ornamentals, spray at 2 oz per gallon of water with hand pump sprayer or commercial misting equipment. Row crops: 1-2 quarts per acre with minimum 5 gallons of water. Tree Crops: 1 Gallon per acre in minimum 50 gallons of water. For Fruits or Vegetables, use the 10-8-8 until the time plants start to bud. Then we suggest using our 6-14-6, which will help the buds set. Once the fruits begin to grow, switch back to the 10-8-8.

Lawn Maintenance: Apply the 10-8-8 every 2 weeks (in the am) at 4-5 oz per 1000 sf. or monthly at a rate of 10-12 oz per 1000 sf. When preparing a lawn or garden area for seeding or planting, apply the 10-8-8 at 10 oz per 1000 sf. before seeds are up or plants are set in.

Dormant Shrub and Tree Fertilizing. One of the best times to fertilize shrubs and trees is in the late fall when the leaves are dropping or have finished dropping. You can fertilize at heavier rates at this time of the year, and it will last throughout most of the following year.

For Dormant Feeding Shrubs and Ornamentals: This can be done as a soil drench or with a Deep-Root Feeder. Apply at 4-5 ounces per average size shrub (approximately a 2½ foot diameter plant). Increase amount for larger plants and decrease for smaller plants. For young trees use 4-5 oz for every inch of diameter of trunk at chest height. If fertilizing beds of plants close together, apply at 3 quart per 1000 sf of bed.

For Dormant Feeding Mature Trees: Deep-root feed only at 10-15 ounces per inch of trunk diameter. Larger trees don't need to be fed close to the trunk. They need the fertilizer to go where the feeder roots are. Generally the feeder roots extend just outside of the drip zone (where the leaves reach out) and go in about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way towards the trunk. Holes made every 18-24 inches in concentric circles are recommended. Our fertilizers are very safe. As long as the soil is moist there will be no problems even if severely over fertilized.

BIO-ENHANCED
6-14-6
FOR FLOWERS & FRUITS

The 6-14-6 is designed to promote better flowering on plants that are fully grown. The low nitrogen and high phosphorus levels tells the plant to devote more energy towards flowers and roots and less towards new growth. Use this on fully grown plants and trees, and plants that are ready to bud or flower. If you want the plants or shrubs to grow taller or thicker, use the 10-8-8 instead. You can also use the 6-14-6 to raise phosphorus levels on soil if needed per soil test.

When preparing a lawn or garden area for seeding or planting, apply the 6-14-6 at 10 oz per 1000 sf. before seeds are up or plants are set in. For a fertilizing soil drench of individual plants, trees, shrubs, vegetables etc… apply at 1 oz per gallon of water. If you are using a hose-end sprayer, you can also spray the leaves of the plant for some foliar uptake. Make sure to get the undersides, and morning applications are best. This can be done every 2-4 weeks. For Deep-Root Fertilizing apply at 3-5 ounces per average size shrub. On trees, Deep-Root Feed at 3-4 ounces per inch of trunk diameter. Apply when soils are moist.

Foliar applications can be made every 10 days. For houseplants, apply at 1 tablespoon per quart of water. For gardens or ornamental, spray at 1-2 oz per gallon of water with hand pump sprayer or commercial misting equipment. Row crops: 1-2 quarts per acre with minimum 5 gallons of water. Tree Crops: 1 Gallon per acre in minimum 50 gallons of water.
