6-14-6 plays a key part in our 5 Step Garden Fertilizing Program. We recommend spraying foliarly (on the leaves) or through drip irrigation during the stage of growth when plants are budding or blooming and when fruits are forming. 6-14-6 is high in Phosphorus and will help produce an enormous amount of buds and flowers as well as abundant, healthy fruits and vegetables in the garden. 6-14-6 can also be used as a starter fertilizer.
6-14-6 is supplemented (Bio-Enhanced) with a natural nutrient package derived from Seaweed, Humic Acids, and Molasses. This gives you additional vitamins, bio-stimulants, and trace elements including Vitamins B-1, B-12, Gibberellins, Indoles, Auxins, Boron, Iron, Zinc, Cobalt, Copper, Manganese, Molybdenum and Sulfur.
Why Foliar Feed?
Plants need different nutrients at different stages of development. Granular fertilizer blends applied pre-planting may or may not release the proper nutrients when they are needed. Nutrient release can be affected by soil compaction and drainage, bio-activity,soil temperature, dry or wet weather, and a host of other factors.
By Foliar Feeding your plants the right nutrients exactly when they are needed you can get better and more predictable results in your garden than you ever thought possible. Foliar feeding is a fast and very economical way to fertilize.
See Foliar Feeding Information and Tips below.
Use to Promote Buds, Flowers and Fruits
Once your plants have grown and are ready to produce and flowers you need to switch from a high Nitrogen fertilizer to a high Phosphorus fertilizer - along with the right type of Nitrogen and Potassium. Our 6-14-6 contains all of this and more. Use this fertilizer from first budding or blooming until the fruit begins to change color or mature, then you can switch to our 3-18-18 to finish it of. Do not use either of the above fertilizers for green leafy plants that you do not want to flower or go to seed.
For Flower Crops use our 6-14-6 to promote initial budding, then switch to Formula 3-18-18 for higher quality, longer lasting flowers.

Foliar Feeding Information and Tips
Foliar (through the leaves) feeding is a great way to get more from your lawns and plantings - even those that have already been fertilized through the ground. Nutrients sprayed correctly on leaves are absorbed quickly and are distributed throughout the whole plant or tree within minutes. This means that you only have to spray some of the leaves to get nutrients to all of the plant, including the roots. This can boost plant health and production dramatically. So, whether you want greener grass, more flowers, more fruits or vegetables, or just more growth from a plant, foliar feeding every two weeks is a great technique for serious gardeners.
- Spray early to late morning for better absorption. Early evening is the next best time.
- Only spray plants that have been watered regularly and are not under drought stress.
- Avoid spraying during the heat of the day or the spray can evaporate before it is absorbed.
- Add some dish soap or our Wetting Agent to help the spray spread and stick better. A fine mist spray sticks best, but hose-end sprayers can be effective if done a little more heavily and during the right time of day.
- Try to reach the underside of leaves because that is where most of the pores (stomata) are.
